The South Alabama Regional Airport is making plans to reopen the Airport Blade ‘N’ Wing Café in the weeks ahead, according to Jed Blackwell, executive director.
With the recent re-opening occupancy guidelines announced by the governor’s office last Friday, our café facility is not currently large enough to accommodate both general public and flying public customers to include our U.S. military.
Additional facility space is being completed over the next two weeks to provide a larger open dining area that includes a second dining room.
“To meet additional requirements, once re-opened, we will provide full-time servers who will each serve food to our customers from the buffet,” he said. “Drinks will also be served by a staff member.”
Blackwell said that as they learn more from state leaders in the days ahead, they will provide a firm re-opening date.
“Please know that we look forward to seeing each of you along with striving to provide quality and affordable meals.”
