The Little Lambs Consignment Sale will be held on Fri., March 13, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sat., March 14, from 8 a.m. until noon at the Kiwanis Building.

The sale was started by a Christian group set out to help the less fortunate.

“The money is usually given to a child in need,” Shirley Tew said. “We have a meeting after the sale and choose the recipient by recommendations from the schools.”

Now, Tew said the sale is much better and profits more people.

“It’s for a really good cause and also helps the consigners that participate,” Tew said. “Used to, you couldn’t find any maternity clothes, but it has gotten better now. It helps people who can’t get out of town just to buy clothes.”

To participate in this consignment sale, sellers will pay a registration fee of $12.00. All sellers must work a three-hour shift before, during or after the sale. The $12.00 registration fee will be deducted from the total amount sold. To thank the sellers, they will have the opportunity to shop on Friday evening at 5:30 p.m., before the sale opens to the public at 7 p.m.

“Your presence is not required on the day of the sale. If you are interested in becoming a seller, we ask that you respond as quickly as possible by calling to get a seller number and to schedule your three-hour work shift,” Tew said. “Our deadline for distributing seller numbers will be Fri., March 6.”

If you have any other questions, you may call Amy Weaver at the number listed below. If you were a seller in the Fall 2019 Sale, you will keep your same seller number, but will still need to call or text Stephanie to register for the Fall Sale.

All sellers, both previous and new, are to pick up a Seller Packet at either: Rex Powell Insurance office, the office of First Baptist Church of Andalusia, or South Alabama Pediatrics (Dr. Bang) in Opp, or Andalusia Health Hospital.
