Cancer Freeze raises $80K

Organizers for the annual Cancer Freeze event in Florala said this weekend’s event was successful.
“God once again showed up and showed out at Cancer Freeze,” said Organizer Jennifer Davidson. “We greatly appreciate all your continued support throughout the years. We broke records again.”
Davidson said that they raised more than $80,000 to go to Karen Jackson, NaToya Pitts, Tabitha Inabnet, Joni Dalen, Erin Jackson and Catherine Mitchell.
This year’s event was the 14th annual.
The Florala fundraiser is a full day of events, with proceeds benefitting six cancer patients or their families.
Cancer Freeze is a 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit annual fundraising event held the first Saturday each February in Florala, to benefit people from South Alabama or Northwest Florida who is battling cancer.
Davidson said next year’s event is slated for Sat., Feb. 6.
