Andalusia Public Library experienced flooding Monday.

“We think the sump pump got overwhelmed,” Children’s Librarian Caryl Lee Ray said. “Or struck by lightning or the rain came through the walls and outside door.”

Director Karin Taylor said that there were some puppets that got their feet wet.

“Water had to be removed and carpets cleaned and sanitized before babies and kids can be let loose to crawl and read and play,” she said.
