Dozier bank robbed

The First National Bank of Dozier was robbed this afternoon and a manhunt is under way in Crenshaw County.
Officials say they have captured one of the suspects and are still actively searching for the second.
No names have been released yet.
According to the Crenshaw County EMA Director Elliott Jones, the two suspects have fled on foot north of Brantley on Hwy. 331 after they wrecked their vehicle during a chase.
Officials have not given clothing descriptions only saying the suspects are black males and ran into the woods behind Vinny’s in the northern part of Brantley.
Residents who like in the area of Old Brantley-Luverne Road, South Carter Road and Brunson Chapel Road are asked to pay attention.
Sheriff’s office officials say they have a state helicopter and tracking dogs to help find the suspects.
The suspects were driving a slate gray Nissan car and are believed to be from Montgomery County.
This is the second time since 2016 the bank has been robbed.
On Dec. 23, 2016, two men robbed the bank.
The brothers – Darren Hayes and Darryl Hayes are currently serving four-year sentences in prison.
