BETTY “DEE” PARRISH
Betty “Dee” Parrish, a resident of Dothan, Dee-Feated leukemia on Sun.,
May 26, 2019 at a local hospital when she entered into the presence of Jesus.
She is now healthy and happy. She was 74.
Mrs. Parrish’s memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., on Thurs., May 30, 2019, in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ray Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 p.m., until 3 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., on Fri., May 31, 2019, in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Parrish was born on Aug. 1, 1944, in Andalusia, and lived there the early years of her life. She was a 1962 graduate of Andalusia High School and a graduate of the Patricia Stevens Business School in Atlanta, Ga.
She married the love of her life, Douglas Parrish on May 5, 1964. After a few years living in New Mexico and then Ohio, they settled in Houston, Texas, for 34 years. Mrs. Parrish was employed with the Cy-Fair Independent School District until her retirement. Mrs. Parrish accepted her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in 1974. She was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church in Houston where she served as church clerk, in the children’s ministry and in the church choir. Mr. and Mrs. Parrish moved to Dothan in 2013 and became active members of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She was a member of the Mayon Sewell Sunday School Class and the Ridgecrest Choir. She was a wonderful wife, a loving mother, and a faithful friend to many. She loved Navarre Beach and created many wonderful memories with her family on vacations there for years. Mrs. Parrish never met a stranger and was an active member of the Dothan Newcomers Club.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Doug Parrish; her daughter, Beverly (Warren) Skinner; her brother, Wayne (Lenore) Eubanks; her sister and brother-in-law, Hilda and Presley Boswell; her cousin, Kathy (Joe) Grimes; and 2 nephews also survive.
AGNES LINZY MULLEN
Agnes Linzy Mullen, 86, passed away on May 16, 2019, in Fort Pierce, Florida, and is with Jesus now.
Mrs. Mullen was born in Red Level and raised in Andalusia.
Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Harrington; two granddaughters, Charlotte Stahlberg (Matt), and April Mettler; three great-grandchildren, Austin Crouch, Codi Chibas (Chris), and Garret Curl; seven great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Buddy Linzy; sister, Peggy Parker (Ronnie); sister-in-law, Maxine Linzy; and many nieces and nephews and extended family. She was preceded death by her parents and brother, John L. Linzy.
Agnes was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who worked most of her life at many jobs. She was happy to have her family around and always wanted to take care of them. She will be remembered for her great Southern cooking and lessons in life that she passed on. Her summer days in Alabama were special to her when Austin, Codi and Garrett came to spend time with her.

MCCOLLOUGH
Mrs. Dorothy Marie McCollough, 70, of Red Level, passed away Mon., May 27, 2019, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thurs., May 30, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Nathan Daniels officiating. The interment will follow in River Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m., until 8 p.m., Wednesday at Foreman Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Jeffery McCollough of Red Level; her sons and daughters-in-law, Scotty and Angie Boutwell of Red Level, Larry Dewayne and Leigh Boutwell of Spanish Fort, Ala., Phillip and Brandy McCollough of Florida; eight grandchildren, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Lou Boutwell of Georgiana, Ala., and Aubrey and Mary Boutwell of Gantt; along with many nieces and nephews.
