The Andalusia Junior Woman’s Club is recognizing the home of the late Levi “Pat” Thompson with its Pride of Andalusia award for the month of May
This home has always had a beautiful, well kept yard. Mr. Thompson and his wife, Vonceil Thompson, lived for 25 years in the house originally built in the 1950s by Truman Southwell.
The Thompsons completed multiple renovations within the home. They took great pride in their home and yard, and for more than 20 years a gentleman respectfully known as “Clyde” kept the yard and flowerbeds.
Mr. Pat worked for 60 years with Foreman- Brown Funeral Home, and Mrs. Vonceil was the bookkeeper for Covington County Schools for 25-30 years. They were also proud members of the Stanley Street Church of Christ for more than 50 years. They both loved the Andalusia community and gave back to the community often. AJWC is honored to recognize the home of such notable Andalusians.
