The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles gave it a strong effort, but were eliminated from the AHSAA Class 1A South Regional in Gulf Shores after falling to Millry 5-2 on Friday.

Both teams were kept off of the scoreboard through the first two innings of the contest.

In the top of the second inning, Millry was able to push across four runs as they went up 4-0.

The Lady Eagles continued to battle and put girls on base.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Emily Taylor put the Lady Eagles on the board with an RBI double.

Hope Gunter then came around to score off of a sacrifice fly to bring the score to 4-2.

Millry added another run in the top of the seventh.

The Lady Eagles got a walk in the bottom of the seventh inning, but Pleasant Home couldn’t bring her around to score.

Millry was then able to hold off the Lady Eagles for a 5-2.
