Kelly then struck out the next batter and then a diving catch in center field from Caleb Blackston ended the frame.

In the bottom of the second inning, Kelly started off with a walk and then Amis executed perfectly on a hit-and-run.

With runners on second and third, Hogan Nichols delivered a two-out double that plated a pair of runs.

In the top of the third inning, Bryant drove in a run with a double to make the score 8-1.

Andalusia got things rolling again in the bottom of the third inning.

Nichols drove in two more runs with another double and then an RBI single from Strong put the Bulldogs up 11-1.

At the end of the third inning, Andalusia held a 12-1 lead.

Andalusia’s final run came in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Kelly finished off Hillcrest in the bottom of the fifth inning to help led the Bulldogs to a 13-1 victory.

“We did what we had to do,” Andalusia head coach Tyler Dent said. “Now we are fortunate enough to be able to host in the first round in two weeks. That will be exciting. Like I told them, we’ve got to get better tomorrow because we are going up to play a good Wetumpka team and see what we can do next week to get better going into the playoffs.”

Andalusia will travel to Wetumpka today for a non-area game.
