Fourth graders from around the county learned about the water cycle, aquifers and the filtration of groundwater at the Covington County Groundwater Festival yesterday at the Woodson Learning Center.

Activities included hands-on experiments that demonstrate the principles and importance of groundwater.

The event is sponsored annually by the Covington County Conservation District.
