A single-vehicle crash at 5:48 p.m. Fri, Feb. 22, claimed the life of an Andalusia man.

Sgt. Drew Brooks of the Alabama Highway Patrol said Joseph Ryan Ballard, 33, was killed when the 1996 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer he was operating left the roadway, overturned, and caught fire. Ballard was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred on U.S. 331 near the 10-mile marker. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
