Dr. Maxwell Lynn Reeves
Dr. Maxwell Lynn Reeves, age 81, of Canton, Ga., passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Northside Hospital Cherokee.
Dr. Lynn Reeves was born in Enterprise, Alabama to Luther Jackson Reeves and Sara Warren Reeves on December 26, 1937. He was a star athlete at Andalusia High School and a scholarship athlete at The University of Alabama. Lynn proudly served in the Air Force for four years. After his service, he returned to Alabama and graduated from UAB Dental School. He married the love of his life, Judy Stubbs, on June 26 1971. He practiced dentistry in Daleville, Alabama for 30 years. Dr. Reeves served on the Board of Dental Examiners for the state of Alabama for five years, President of the Board for one year, and Daleville City Council for 20 years.
Lynn is preceded in death by his father, Luther Jackson Reeves; his mother, Sara Warren McDonald; and his brother – Jackson Warren Reeves.
Lynn Reeves is survived by his wife, Judy; his son Maxwell Lynn Reeves, Jr. and wife Lori of Birmingham, Alabama; his daughter Callie Reeves Brown and husband Philip of Canton, Georgia; his sister, Sally Reeves Stuckey and husband Jim of Dothan, Alabama; and five grandchildren, Ellen, Caroline, Baker, Clara and Holden; as well as his niece, nephews and many friends.
Visitation and services were at the South Canton Funeral Home on Sunday, February 17. The Rev. John McCullough officiated, and Mike Lindsey provided the music.
