Pleasant Home battled through adversity

The Pleasant Home Eagles put up strong fights this season, but ended the year with a 1-9 record.
Pleasant Home had to replace a lot of key players off of the 2017 team that went to the first round of the playoffs.
The Eagles got the season started with a 27-18 loss to newly formed Elberta High School.
Pleasant Home took a week off the following week before falling to Elba 28-14 in the first region game of the year.
The Eagles got another tough opponent the following week as they narrowly fell to Red Level 15-14.
In week five, the Eagles picked up a 34-20 region win over the McKenzie Tigers.
Pleasant Home took on Class 5A Satsuma the following week and went down 54-0.
Georgiana then beat the Eagles 40-0.
Pleasant Home’s playoff hopes were still alive until they fell 20-14 at home to Kinston.
The Eagles looked to play the role of playoff spoilers the next week against Florala, but the Wildcats were able to come away with a 40-0 win.
Pleasant Home wrapped up a region play with a 47-0 loss to Brantley.
In the final game of the year, the Eagles fell to Zion Chapel 34-14.
