The Covington County Board of Education made its final hires for the 2018-2019 school year yesterday.

The board hired:

• Lisa Marie Macks as a lunchroom worker at Pleasant Home School.
• Elizabeth Barrow Taylor as a bus driver at Pleasant Home School.
• Jennifer Carol Kyser as a nurse at Pleasant Home School.
• Megan Leigh Bowen as an instructional aid at Straughn Elementary School.
• Kelsey Bradley Nixon as a lunchroom worker at W.S. Harlan Elementary School.
• Christy J. West as a bus driver at W.S. Harlan Elementary School.

The board also accepted the resignation of Tammy Morgan Capps, who was a nurse at Pleasant Home School, and the retirement resignation of Lisa M. Gunter after 25 years of bus driving at Pleasant Home School.
