Baldwin named to South All-Stars

Pleasant Home senior River Baldwin was recently named to the 2018 South All-Star basketball roster for the 2018 Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association’s North/South All-Star game in July.
Baldwin is 1-of-30 incoming seniors to be placed on the teams (15 players per team).
Coming into her senior year, Baldwin has been named the ASWA Class 1A Player of the Year the past two seasons.
ESPN has Baldwin ranked as the No. 12 center in the nation and one of the top prospects in the state.
Baldwin is verbally committed to play for Florida State.
The girls’ All-Star game will be played July 18 at 6 p.m., at Dunn-Oliver Acadome on the Alabama State University Campus.
The basketball All-Star game is a part of the AHSADCA All-Star week that includes in-state All-Star games in football, soccer, softball, volleyball and cross-country.
The South All-Star girls’ basketball coach will be Rhonda Wright of Clarke County and Anthony Edwards of Loachapoka.
Ronnie Jackson of Ramsey and Candace Byrd of R.A. Hubbard will coach the North All-Stars.
