The LBWCC Saints fought hard, but were swept by Chattahoochee Valley Community College on Saturday in Phenix City.

In the opening game of the day, CVCC got a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh to pick up the 2-1 victory.

The Saints got on the board first when Matthew Christian launched a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning.

CVCC tied the game in the bottom of the fourth inning after a run scored on a dropped third strike.

CVCC got a one-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning and then came around to score on a two-out single.

GAME TWO

In the final game of the day, CVCC scored early and often on their way to an 11-2 victory.

LBWCC got on the board first when Christian drove in Casey Henderson with a sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning.

CVCC tied the game with a home run in the bottom of the first inning and then grabbed the lead with a two-out single.

A home run in the bottom of the second put CVCC on top 3-1.

The Saints’ final run came when Bryson Gandy drove in Chauncey Callier with a sacrifice fly.
