The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles scored early and often on their way to a 10-1 victory over the Red Level Lady Tigers on Thursday night in Pleasant Home.

Red Level started the top of the first inning strong with a pair of hits from Elizabeth Cross and Summer Beverly.

In the pitcher’s circle for the Lady Eagles, Ava Bailey settled in after giving up two hits to start the contest by getting a ground out and two strikeouts.

The Lady Eagles came out with leadoff single from Tami Hilson to start the bottom of the first inning.

Hope Gunter followed with a single that moved Hilson around to third base.

The Lady Eagles took the lead when Bailey drove in Hilson on a fielder’s choice.

Amy Kate Bulger then came through with a run scoring single to put Pleasant Home on top 2-0.

Bailey continued to fire in strikes in the top of the second inning when she struck out the side.

Natalie Schwartz got the Lady Eagles rolling in the bottom of the second inning with a double to start the frame.

Daisy Cordle moved Schwartz to third with a ground out and the a ground out from Sarah McClung gave the Lady Eagles a 3-0 advantage.

Bailey got a ground out to start the top of the third inning and then Cross came through with her second hit of the contest.

After the single, Bailey struck out the next to batters to end the frame.

Bailey singled with one-out in the bottom of the third inning, but then Cross got a pop out and strikeout to end the inning.

The Lady Eagles broke the game open in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Pleasant Home accounted for seven hits in the bottom of the fourth inning and took an 8-0 lead.

Bailey struck out the side the top of the fifth inning.

In the top of the sixth inning, Graysie Lee singled and then reached third off of an error.

Maggie Wilkerson then singled to drive in the Lady Tigers’ lone run.

Pleasant Home’s final runs of the game came on a two-run home run from Bulger.

Bailey picked up the win for the Lady Eagles as she struck out 15 batters and held the Lady Tigers to just one run.
