33-year-old charged with child sex abuse

A Covington County grand jury has indicted Jason Christopher Mets with two Class A felonies and a Class B felony in a sexual abuse case.
The indictments were issued in the December 2017 session, and Mets was arrested last week. Mets, 33, was booked into the Covington County Jail and held on a $500,000 bond for first degree rape, first degree sodomy and sexual abuse of a child under 12 years of age.
A Class A felony can mean no less than 10 years and no more than life or 99 years in prison. A Class B felony can mean no less than two years and no more than 20 years in prison.
