LBW Community College plans an enhanced program for the annual student leadership seminar set for Sept. 29 on the Andalusia campus by featuring Ryan Eller with Paradigm Shift, an international leadership consulting group.

“While we’ve had this event for many years, this year we discussed opportunities to enhance the event and truly invest in the leadership development of both our LBWCC students and area high school students,” said LBWCC Dean of Student Affairs Jason Jessie.

“My familiarity with Paradigm Shift and Ryan made it an easy decision to partner with them to provide our leadership development training.”

Using practical leadership and adventure-based models, the group helps leaders develop powerful relationships, set SMART goals, create personal responsibility, and develop a defined purpose, said Jessie.

“I’ve been able to witness firsthand the impact that Ryan has with students. His ability to engage with audiences of all ages and sizes is truly unique. The attendees are in for a treat.”

Eller is CEO and founder of Paradigm Shift, and has advocated for educational aspiration in Washington, D.C. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and master’s degree in higher education administration from Northeastern State University.

In addition to LBWCC student leaders, also invited to participate are several high schools, including Andalusia, Brantley, Crenshaw Christian Academy, Elba, Enterprise, Florala, Fort Dale Academy, Geneva, Georgiana, Greenville, Highland Home, Kinston, Luverne, McKenzie, New Brockton, Opp, Pike County, Pleasant Home, Red Level, Samson, Slocomb, Straughn, and Zion Chapel High Schools.
