The new Joe’s Barista coffee shop on LBW’s campus gives students a place to relax, study and socialize.
It is located in the Jeff Bishop Student Center, where there are couches and a Ping-Pong table for students to come and enjoy their free time in between classes.
“I like it a lot,” said student Amber Barlow. “It’s a lot more convenient not having to leave campus for food or coffee.”
Located in the coffee shop area were students of all different departments, including athletes.
“I love it here,” said LBW student Elizabeth Cravey. “It’s a great atmosphere to come and eat and just relax for a little while.”
Joe’s Barista is also expected to bring in outsiders from the community.
Public Information Officer and Director of Marketing Renee LeMaire said, “We are very excited that the kids now have another food option. We also look forward to bringing in people from the community and getting them onto campus.”
The food there has quite the reputation, also.
“The cinnamon rolls are incredible,” said the Director of Student Success Tori Norris. “He made a few dozen to last the week and I think there’s only a couple left if that tells you anything.”
Joe’s Barista offers different kinds of coffees and different snacks for the students to quickly get in-and-out.
Their menu includes hamburgers, hot dogs, different kinds of sandwiches, salads, and other options.
They are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Joe’s Barista was previously located on South Three Notch Street in Andalusia.
