McKathan tapped for Roy Moore’s leadership team

Retired Circuit Judge Ashley McKathan is among those tapped by Roy Moore as members of the leadership team in his U.S. Senate campaign.
McKathan, who is a former circuit judge in Covington County, is co-chairing Moore’s election effort in the Second Congressional District with Dr. Tom Ford III, pastor at Grace Baptist Church of Montgomery.

mer chairman of the Alabama GOP, is chairing Mo-ore’s campaign.
Others in the Wiregrass working on Moore’s campaign include John Giles of Luverne, former president of the Christian Coalition of Alabama, who is one of eight members of Moore’s finance team.
Moore, who is the former chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, is challenging current U.S. Sen. Luther Strange for the Republican nomination for the Senate seat in a special election set for next Tues., Aug. 15.
Strange was appointed to the seat when then-Sen. Jeff Sessions became U.S. attorney general.
