Running for a Reason, a 5k run/walk, benefiting Jacob Kelley, will be held at 6 p.m. at Harold’s Furniture. Kelley, the son of Brian and Kerri Kelley, was born with multiple birth defects.

“They’re having to make frequent trips to Birmingham,” Kelley Garner, one of the benefit’s organizers said. “We’re just hoping with this race to help alleviate some of the financial burden they are under right now.”

Cost is $20 for adults, $15 for students and $5 for fun run.

Registration forms can be picked up at Harold’s, Piggly Wiggly and Southern Independent Bank in Andalusia.
