DOUG MORGAN

Doug Morgan, 80, of Andalusia, passed away Mon., May 17, 2011, in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Sat., May 21, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Junior Morgan will officiate. Special music will be performed by Gary McKenzie. Interment will follow in the Carolina Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include his sons, Chuck Morgan of Texas and Steve (Sharon) Morgan of Andalusia; daughter, Sandy Johnson of Tennessee; brothers, Donald (Louise) Morgan of Dothan and Junior (Laquita) Morgan of Elberta; sisters, Ruth Page of Andalusia, Glenda (Frank) Alsup of Albertville and Nell McKenzie of Decatur; grandchildren, Josh Morgan, Jade Morgan, Jeanie Morgan, Michelle Morgan, Hatch Davis and Morgan Davis; great-grandchildren, Marissa Morgan, Lathan Morgan, Andrew Morgan, Briana Wheat and Bubba Wheat; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Cellus Barney Morgan and Lilla Rebeca Day Morgan; sister, Allene Odom, and son-in-law, Rob Johnson.

CAROLYN ‘MEMAW’ PARKER FAIRLEY

Carolyn “MeMaw” Parker Fairley, 88, of Vancleave, Miss., passed away Sun., May 15, 2011, in Ocean Springs, Miss.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, she will be sorely missed by her loving family and many friends.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Vancleave and an avid gardener – producing vegetables, flowers and virtually anything that could grow.

She retired from Jackson County, where she was deputy chancery court clerk for 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Crafton and Nina Parker, and her brother, Drayden Parker.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Donice B. Fairley of Vancleave; son, Johnny Crafton (Suzanne) Fairley of Andalusia; daughters, Janice Diane (Billy) Bond of Vancleave and Sandra Faye Edmondson of Gautier, Miss.; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grand children; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Devaine “Tubby” Parker of Agricola, Miss.; sisters, Jean Williams of Lucedale, Miss., and Edith “Poochie” Robertson of Agricola, Miss.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation was held Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Vancleave, and funeral services followed at 3 p.m. from the church with the Rev. Don Boone and the Rev. Randy David officiating.

Interment was in Vancleave Cemetery No. 1 on Jim Ramsey Road in Vancleave.

EDITH DANIEL KENNEDY

Edith Daniel Kennedy, 68, of Andalusia, died Tues., May 17, 2011, at her residence.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m., Sat., May 21, at the First Baptist Church of Andalusia with Dr. Fred Karthaus officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include her sons, Bill (Angela) Kennedy of Pike Road and Jimmy (Kim Mauldin) Kennedy of Clayton; her grandchildren, William Kennedy IV, Wenton Kennedy, Winola Kennedy, Willa Tate Kennedy, Timothy Kennedy, James Kennedy, David Mauldin and Dylan Mauldin; her brothers, James Daniel of Birmingham and John (Linda) Daniel of Kensington, Md.; sister, Helen Gibbs (Robert) Couch of Auburn; and her close friends and sitters, Juanita and Hope.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William E. Kennedy Jr., and her parents, James E. and Helen Tate Daniel.
