Four Andalusia students took part in the 80th American Legion Alabama Boys State Convention in May.
Steadman Glenn, Grant Holley, Ethan Barton and Will Clark were designated delegates from Andalusia High.
Glenn was involved with county government and helped develop a plan for the recruitment of an economic development project for his Boys State County.
Holley was involved in city government and was instrumental in developing a plan for recruitment of an economic development Project for his Boys State City.
The American Legion Alabama Boys State is a leadership program for young men in the state who have recently completed their junior year of high school, and are considered leaders in their school or community.
Alabama Boys State is designed to give the youth working knowledge of how governments function on the city, county and state levels. Students are nominated as delegates by their school faculty or community leaders, and at the convention participate in mock government as delegates.
