Choc-Pea Authority records lots of showers in May

If you think it rained a lot in May, you’d be right, according to data released from the Choctawhatchee, Pea and Yellow Rivers Watershed Management Authority.

The authority recorded a total of 6.2 inches of rain at Yellow River on Hwy. 55 in May, compared with 2.0 inches in May of 2016. Year to date, the authority has recorded 24.16 inches there, compare to 29.76 inches in 2016.

At Yellow River on Hwy. 84, the authority measured 7.12 inches of rain in May, compared to 3.42 inches in the same month last year. Year to date, 30.88 inches of rain has been recorded t here, compared to 28.54 inches in 2016.
