The 25th annual Florala Car Show will take place June 24 at the Rodney J. Evans Civic Center in Florala as part of the annual 24th of June Masonic Celebration.
After a one-year hiatus, the car show will return with new sponsors from JRB Tree and Lawn Service and The Little Smokehouse. The annual tradition has typically been in conjunction with the Masonic 24th of June Celebration.
“We’re really excited about it coming back,” Little Smokehouse owner Marvin Williford said. “They didn’t have one last year and in a few years it will be the 150th anniversary of the 24th of June Celebration so we hope to have 150 cars for the show by then.”
The car show will feature first, second and third place winners, plus best in class and overall best in show, with different divisions for 1900-1941 cars and trucks, 1941-1962 cars and trucks, 1963-1974 cars and trucks, 1975-1990 cars and trucks, 1991-2017 cars and trucks, hot rods 1900-2017 and motorcycles.
There will also be prize drawings and the Little Smokehouse will be there selling barbeque.
Entry into the car show is $20 and the first 50 to enter get a dash plaque.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. on June 24 and the car show begins at 10 a.m. and concludes at 2 p.m.
