The 3rd Annual Full Tummy Charity Golf Classic went off with out a hitch on Monday at Andalusia Country Club with Southeast Alabama Gas District winning the tournament.

There were 60 men and women on 15 teams that took part in the event.

SEAGD’s team of Mitch Thorn, Steven Saunders, Terry Barnes and Will Bumpers took home the top spot in the event.

After a scorecard playoff, CCB Community Bank’s team of Mark Chambers, Martin Clifton, Mike O’Neal and John Dubose finished in second place.

Third place went to Foreman Funeral Home’s team of Hunter Hobson, Jeff Sellers, Mickey Pitts and Aaron Barton.

Billy Bergfeld and Chambers were the winners in the long drive competition.

Saunders, Clifton, Bill Rabren and Anthony Elmore won the closest to the pin contest.

Full Tummy Project organizer Katie King said that the tournament raised $12,700.

“This is our largest fundraiser of the year,” King said. “Our annual budget is around $30,000. This past year, we fed 250 children a week from five elementary schools in Covington County.”
