Pizza Hut is currently closed for renovations that should be completed some time in June.

A spokesman for NPC International, which owns the local Pizza Hut franchise, said the local restaurant is undergoing interior remodeling. The new interior will feature sleeker designs.

Yum Foods, which owns the Pizza Hut brand, announced last year plans to remodel 700 stores a year through 2022 in its new format. The extent of the makeovers required under the company’s franchise agreements is determined by the age of the store, its format and possibly the population density of its location, NPC said earlier this year.

The NPC spokesperson said Wednesday it hopes to reopen the local restaurant by June 20, but a later reopen is possible.
