Juana L. Cobb
Juana L. Cobb, age 65 of Paul passed away Sat., April 15, 2017, at her daughter’s residence in Rose Hill.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m., Mon., April 17, at New Providence Baptist Church in the Paul community. The family will receive friends at the church 30 minutes prior to services. The Rev. James Gay will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia directing.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Owens, Jeffrey Pate, Christian Parker, Gerald Wood, Dylan Parriman, and Daniel Blair.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlin Eugene Cobb.
Survivors include her mother, Alma Lee Yarbrough of Andalusia; son, Waylon Paker (Leigh) of Dozier; daughters, Rachel Blair (Daniel) of Brewton, and Jeannie Owens (Jamie) of Andalusia; brother, Donnie Yarbrough of Lexington, Tenn.; sister, Mim Utley (Leon) of Sussex, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Austin G. Hughes, Falon Blair, Christian Parker, Skyler Parker, Tiffany Blair, Carlie Riley, and Mason Owens; and step-grandchildren, Tyre Anderson and Tyler Anderson.
Johnny Kirkland
Mr. Johnny Kirkland, age 75 of Andalusia, passed away Sat., April 15, 2017, at the Andalusia hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday at Keahey Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services. The Rev. Bill Pritchet will officiate. Interment will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia directing.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Eady Kirkland of Andalusia; sons, Michael David Kirkland (Darlene) of Dothan and Johnny Ray Kirkland, Jr., of California; stepchildren, Joseph McCraney (Chrystal) of Florida, Johnny Dewayne Stinson of Andalusia, Melinda Faye Stinson of Rose Hill, and Sonya Deloney; sister, Mary Harrison of Andalusia; grandchildren, Elizabeth Stinson, Haley Stinson, Shirlyn Dobbs, Tony Ray Grimes.
Mr. Kirkland served during the Vietnam War and worked as a truck driver most of his life. He and his wife are members of Southside Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morgan and Adele Kirkland; brothers, Carl Kirkland, Jimmy Lee Kirkland, Morgan Kirkland Jr, and Cleo Kirkland; sister, Betty Hurst.
Billy Jack Odom
Mr. Billy Jack Odom, age 60, of Andalusia passed away unexpectedly Sun., April 16, 2017, at the Andalusia hospital.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wed., April 19, 2017, at New Providence Church of the Nazarene in the Antioch Community. The Rev. Mike Wilcox will officiate. Burial will follow in Adams Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia directing. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at Keahey Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Alex Freas, Cody Odom, B.J. Odom, Adam Odom, Chris Odom, Kris Morgan.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Odom of Andalusia; father, Jack Odom of Andalusia; four sons, B.J. Odom (Jody) of Mobile, Cody Ryan Odom of Andalusia, Adam Joseph Odom (Michelle) of Andalusia, and Chris Odom (Valerie), all of Andalusia; three daughters, April Lynn Fish (David) of Andalusia; Crystal Freas (Alexander) of Evergreen; and Linda Ann Morgan (Kris) of Birmingham; two brothers, Michael Joseph Odom of Andalusia and Randy Haymons of Milton, Fla.; one sister, Eddie Elizabeth Sundae (Wally) of Andalusia; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Post. Mr.Odom retired from the City of Andalusia Sanitation Department.
VICKIE ANN JACKSON JONES
Vickie Ann Jackson Jones passed away at the age of 58 on Thurs., April 13, 2017.
A memorial service was held on Sat., April 15, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Hunt officiating.
Vickie had a love for cooking and was well known by family and friends for her delicious food. Some of her happiest moments were spent on front of a stove, cooking for all of her loved ones. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandbabies. She could always be found sitting around the table enjoying either a hot cup of coffee or a cold can of Coors Light.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, Loyal Eugene “Gene” Jones, and loving sister, Janie Perdue.
She is survived by her companion and best friend, Robin Rogers; daughters and son-in-law, Selena Bradberry, Barbara and Jimmy Richardson, and Amaya Rogers (granddaughter); sons, Christopher Findley and Braxton Rogers; grandchildren, Jasmine (Shawn) Harrelson, Hunter Johns, Gracie Findley, Tristan Findley, Jaxson Smith, and Braxton Tyler Rogers; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Glenda Johns, Dana (Mike) Moore, Jimmy (Stacy) Jackson, George (Patricia) Jackson, and Shannon Hutchenson.
