Tony Cooper

Tony Cooper, 59, of Andalusia, passed away Tues., April 11, 2017, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today, Fri., April 14, at New Hope Independent Baptist Church in Red Level with Brother Keith Parker officiating the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing. Visitation was Thursday at Foreman Funeral Home. There also will be a visitation at the church 30 minutes prior to services.

He is survived by his wife, Bev Cooper of Andalusia; a daughter and son-in-law, Lorren and Dillon Roland of Andalusia; one sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Floyd Wood of Andalusia; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Cyndi Cooper of Shorterville, Ala., Ricky and Donna Cooper of Columbia, Ala., Tim and Janet Cooper, Scott and Renee Cooper of Andalusia; his mother-in-law, Willie Mae Willson; also his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the Willson family; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Clayton Wood, Lance Wood, Ian Cooper, Nick Cooper, Dan Cooper, and Jason Cooper.

Honorary pallbearers will be Doial King, Gary Pitts, and Tim Barton.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to New Hope Independent Baptist Church in Red Level.

Catherine

Barrington Clark

Mrs. Catherine Barrington Clark, 91, of Andalusia, passed away Wed., April 12, 2017, at the Andalusia Manor.

She was born Oct. 3, 1925, in Dozier, Ala., to John M. and Janie Atkins Barrington. She married Bill R. Clark who was also from Dozier, and the two made their home in Andalusia. Both were active members of the First Presbyterian Church for many years.

A graveside service will be held on Fri., April 14, 2017, at 1 p.m. in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Madsen officiating the service.

She is survived by her husband, Bill R. Clark; a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Judy Clark; one granddaughter, Amber Clark, all of Andalusia; one sister, Jane Krellner of Ocala, Fla.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, John Frank Barrington of Phenix, Ariz., Jimmy (Wilma) Barrington of Andalusia, and Don and Patsy Barrington of Austin, Texas.

Billy B. White

Billy B. White, age 86, Andalusia, quietly passed away April 12, 2017. He was born Sept. 15, 1930, in New Brockton, Ala. His father, Willie Asbury White, mother, Mirtie Rainey White, and seven siblings preceded him in death.

Billy married Marie Boothe on June 14, 1951. After living in Opp for a year, Billy and Marie traveled throughout Southern states as he worked selling furniture. In 1956, they moved to Mobile and then to Atmore before settling in Andalusia in December 1963 where he purchased the Barber’s Milk distributorship. He continued to be involved in the business until the last week of his life.

Billy was a voracious reader, especially enjoying Zane Grey westerns and encyclopedias. He had a green thumb and took pride in the flowers he grew. Billy was perhaps happiest when he was selling or trading. In recent years, he was a gracious companion to Marie, as their health declined.

Billy was a Christian and lifelong member of the Assemblies of God, faithfully working with his wife in a variety of ministries.

Marie White survives her husband of 65 years. Three children survive. Rebecca Rhoades (Mark) Springfield, Mo., Greg White (Jan) Andalusia, and Randy White (Kathy) Enterprise. He is also survived by six grandchildren. Kelley Nolen (Chase) of Andalusia, Kim White (Wiley Page) of Auburn, Anne Marie Rhoades of Philadelphia, Penn.; Billy White, Oak Harbor, Wash.; Katherine Rhoades, Bellingham, Wash., and John Mark Rhoades (Katelyn), Sendai, Japan. He is also survived by three sisters, JoAnn Williams, Lou Ellen Thompson, and Jeanette Walker, all of Opp.

The family will receive visitors at Foreman Funeral Home on Friday afternoon from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow with Dr. Mike Flowers officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees and former employees of Barber’s Milk Company. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Sav-A-Life or a charity of choice.
