Errors bite Bulldogs

The Andalusia Bulldogs attempted a late rally, but fell short in 7-6 error-filled loss to Rehobeth.
Rehobeth went up 3-0 in the top of the first.
Ethan Wilson started to the bottom of the first with a triple to the gap in right center, and then came around to score on fielder’s choice off the bat of Hogan Nichols.
Rehobeth added three more runs in the top of the second to go up 6-2.
The Bulldogs committed three errors in the top of the fifth that gave Rehobeth a 7-2 lead.
Jacob Cravey took over on the mound for the Bulldogs in the sixth and escaped a no-out bases-loaded jam.
Nichols drove in two runs with a single in the bottom of the sixth, but he Bulldogs had the tying run thrown out at home for the third out.
“We have to be able to make the routine plays,” Andalusia head coach Tyler Dent said. “I was proud of the way we pitched and competed at the plate.”
