Royce Hartz Edson

Mr. Royce Hartz Edson, age 56, of Andalusia passed away on Mon., March 27, 2017, at Andalusia Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Fri., March 31, at 11 a.m. from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Fred Kelley and Brother Larry Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:30-8 at Foreman Funeral Home.

Mr. Edson is survived by his wife, Margaret Edson; daughters and sons-in-law, Rachel Edson and Sam Moore and Stacey Edson and Sidney Newby; grandson, Bryan Newby all of Andalusia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Malcomb and Sheila Edson of Lewiston, Idaho, and Buddy and Joy Edson of Birmingham; sister, Diane Wilson of Red Level; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harmon and Margaret Edson, a very special mom and dad, Bob and Agnes Craddick, and daughter, Courtney Lynn Edson.

Pallbearers will include Dave Gurley, Emory Gurley, Jody Edson, Chet Godwin, Reggie Hartz, and Richard Hartz. Those unable to attend may sign an online registry at www.foremanfuneralhome.com.

 

Joseph B. Nall

Joseph B. Nall, beloved husband and father, passed away Monday afternoon, March 27, 2017, in Montgomery, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Sybil Stokes Nall; son and daughter-in-law, Benjie and Kim Nall, and daughter and son-in-law, Beverly Nall and Mark Pace, all of Montgomery. He was also adored by his grandchildren, Braden Pace, Brett Pace, Kadyn Pace, Avery Nall Lane, Caleb Nall, and Callie Nall Starkie, and their spouses. He also delighted in his great-grandchildren, Aslyn Pace, Sage Nall, and Sophie Johnson.

Mr. Nall was born May 30, 1927, to Samuel Nall and Ina Horton Nall in Niagra Falls, N.Y., moving to Andalusia when he was five years old. He is a veteran of World War II, and a Pleasant Home High School graduate. He eventually became a gospel preacher. Mr. Nall loved sharing the word of God with all he came in contact with, and every fall his favorite activity was cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Funeral services will be held on Wed., March 29, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Dalraida Church of Christ in Montgomery. Interment will be at Cedar Grove Church of Christ Cemetery in Andalusia at 3 p.m. Pallbearers will include Braden Pace, Brett Pace, Caleb Nall, Dustin Lane, Hunter Starkie, and Ted Arrington.
