Wallace-Dothan tops LBWCC Lady Saints

The LBWCC Lady Saints ran into a tough opponent on Tuesday as the fell in two games to the Wallace-Dothan Lady Governors in Dothan.
WALLACE 10,
LBWCC 1
In the opening game of the series, the Lady Governors jumped out front early and never looked back on their way to a 10-1 victory.
Wallace-Dothan scored twice in the first inning off just one hit.
The Lady Governors extended the lead with to 6-0 in the bottom off the second inning.
In the top of the fifth inning, Anna Elmore was hit by a pitch and then moved to second on ground ball from Merikal McCaskill.
Jessica Dickson then drove in Elmore with a single for the Lady Saints’ only run of the game.

LBWCC 3
The Lady Saints got a little more offense in the second game, but the Lady Governors were able to complete the sweep with a 12-3 win.
Wallace went up 1-0 in the bottom of the first inning, but the Lady Saints tied the game in top of the second inning when Paige Taylor scored on a wild pitch.
Taylor Bethea drove in Dickson in the top of the fifth for the final run of the game.
