River Baldwin named finalist for Class 1A Player of the Year

Pleasant Home sophomore basketball player River Baldwin was recently named one the three finalist for the Class 1A Girls Player of the Year Award presented by ALFA.

It will be Baldwin’s second straight year being invited to the ASWA Player of the Year Banquet.

Baldwin finished the 2016-17 season with 833 points and shot 72 percent from the floor. She had 355 total rebounds and 150 blocks.

For her career, Baldwin has 1,833 points.

Baldwin is up against Kaitlin Hill from Loachapoka and Amber Richardson from Linden.

The banquet will be April 4th in Montgomery.
