McDonald said that they have seen some similarities to these in the past investigations.

“It’s good to know who your children are talking to,” he said. “There are a lot of bad things that can happen, especially with the ability to communicate by cell phone and computer. It seems like most every young person and child has a cell phone these days.”

McDonald said that they know that people use the code.

“We are trying to prevent something bad from happening by getting the word out,” he said. “I’d rather be proactive than reactive.”

We don’t want a disaster to happen. The parents can do with this information what they want, but the way things are today, we are trying to give parents any kind of heads-up we can.”
