The Andalusia Police Department continues to investigate the death of a man who was found dead in a residence on River Falls Street Friday afternoon.

APD Chief Paul Hudson said the body of the deceased, a white male, has been released to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science to determine the cause of death.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family, Hudson said.

APD officers and investigators, and Covington County Coroner Norman Hobson, sent several hours at the scene of the residence, an apartment near the intersection of River Falls Street and Crescent Street.
