Red Level pushes past McKenzie

The Red Level Lady Tigers move on to the second round of the Class 1A, Area 3 tournament after knocking off the McKenzie Lady Tigers 44-43 on Monday night in Georgiana.
In the opening period, McKenzie jumped out front to an 11-6 lead.
Jayla Poindexter, Natalie Feagin and Ziy McClain each had 2 points in the first period for Red Level.
Feagin added 5 points in the second period, but McKenzie was on top 20-18 heading into halftime.
Ashlyn Joyner chipped in 3 points for Red Level in the second period.
The game remained neck-and-neck throughout the third period.
Joyner and Feagin each pitched in 4 points and Maggie Wilkerson knocked to down a 3-pointer for Red Level in the third period.
Entering the final frame, McKenzie was still on top 32-31.
Feagin took control for Red Level in the fourth period and picked up 7 points to help give the Lady Tigers a 44-43 victory.
Feagin led the Lady Tigers with 18 points.
Red Level will take on the Georgiana Lady Panthers tonight at 6 p.m., in the area semi-finals.
