Rumors were swirling this week about a long-time retailer closing its doors in Andalusia.

Monday and Tuesday rumors were flying that Andalusia’s JCPenney location was going to close its doors.

The store is located in the Covington Mall.

JCPenney corporate officials debunked the rumor Tuesday afternoon.

“At this time, we have no plans to close our location in Andalusia,” Joey Thomas, JCP spokesperson said.
