The Red Lady Tigers gave a strong effort, but fell to the Kinston Lady Bulldogs 33-26 on Friday in the final day of the 19th Annual Red Level Christmas Tournament.

Maggie Wilkerson and Zry McClain each drained 3-pointers in the opening period for the Lady Tigers, but Kinston was on top 9-8 heading into the second period.

The Lady Tigers got another 3-pointer from Wilkerson in the second period to help Red Level tie the game 15-15 at halftime.

In the third period, the Lady Bulldog defense kept the Red Level offense limited.

The Lady Tigers got a buckets from Natalie Feagin and Jayla Poindexter, but trailed 23-20 heading into the final period.

Feagin picked up 5 points in the final frame, but it wasn’t enough for the Lady Tigers to pull out the win.

Wilkerson and Feagin each had 9 points for the Lady Tigers.
