Earline E. Maddox

Mrs. Earline E. Maddox, 71, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., Nov. 27, 2016, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wed., Nov. 30, 2016, from Judson Baptist Church with Donnie Uption and James Pickeron officiating. Interment will follow in Judson Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin Maddox of Andalusia; son and daughter-in-law, Van and Brenda Maddox of Jack; sisters, Marjorie Brooke, Charlotte Ward, and Judy Biggs, all of Andalusia; brother, David Edgar of Mobile; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tues., Nov. 29, 2016, from Foreman Funeral Home and the body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Pallbearers will include Josh Helms, Danny Sightler, David Sightler, Harold Elmore, Ricky Maddox, and Brian Davis. Family and friends unable to attend may sign an online registry at www.foremanfuneralhome.com.

 

Emmett “Bobo”

Morris

Mr. Emmett “Bobo” Morris, age 73, of Carolina passed away unexpectedly Mon., Nov. 28, while visiting with his son at Morris Auto Salvage.

Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced later by Keahey Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Left to cherish his wonderful memory is his long standing girlfriend, Reniel Bovino; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Melissa Morris; one granddaughter, Beth Cotton; three great-grandchildren, Alexa Hurst, Skylar Cotton, and Hadley Cotton; siblings, Melba Fuller, Kathlyn Diamond, Carolyn Cook, Davis Morris and step-brother, Rhett Cason.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Morris, in 2007.

Annie Frances Rawls Godwin

Mrs. Annie Frances Rawls Godwin, age 85 of Troy, formerly a long time resident of Covington County, went to be with her Lord on the early morning of Nov. 23, 2016. She was preceded in death by husband, the Rev. Rex Godwin on August 31st of this year. The couple had been married for 69 years.

A graveside service was held for Mrs. Godwin on Nov. 27 at Rawls Baptist Church Cemetery. Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia was entrusted with the services.

Left to cherish her beautiful memory are her daughters, June (Kenny) Connell of Swan Lake, Mont., and Debby Carpenter of Troy; grandchildren, Brandy (Andy) Guy, Dave (Amanda) Carpenter, and Debbie (Dave) Woest; great-grandchildren, Seve Guy, David and Eli Carpenter, and Miles and Max Woest; sisters-in-law, Laura Godwin and Ouida Rawls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters and a son-in-law, David Carpenter.

During their many years of serving God, the couple served at Rawls Baptist Church in Gantt, Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brundidge, Friendship Baptist Church in Tallassee, New Prospect Baptist Church in Samson and Oakdale Baptist Church in Ramer. The Rev. Godwin was an ordained pastor and Mrs. Godwin served as a Godly mentor to many young ladies during time at each church.
