Recently-elected Trussville City Councilman Zack Steele treated the Bulldogs from his alma mater to a pre-game meal Friday afternoon.

Steele, who was a Class of ’94 graduate, invited the Bulldogs to Sherry’s Café. It is the second year in a row he’s invited the team for a meal while they were on the road.

Steele, an optometrist, must have fed the team well. They went on to Leeds, where they defeated the Greenwave 40-0 in the second round of the AHSAA playoffs. Leeds was the two-time defending state 4A champion.
