Eagles gaining momentum

The Pleasant Home Eagles (5-4) have picked up momentum heading in Friday’s final game of the season against Zion Chapel (3-6).
Even though the Eagles can’t make the playoffs, the team still wants to finish the season with a surge.
Last week, they picked up a big 45-40 win over cross-county rival Red Level to secure at .500 season at the least.
The five-win season is the most for the Eagles since 2011.
That was also the last time the two teams met on the football field, with Zion Chapel winning 43-21.
Pleasant Home comes into the contest with four wins in the last five weeks.
The Eagles have been led by Robert Scott at quarterback.
Scott benefits from two big wide receivers in Garrett Barton and Nic Woods.
At running back, D.J. Worley and Rico Bovino have carried the load for the Eagles.
Zion Chapel comes into the game following a loss and has been out scored by their opponents 319-151.
Both Pleasant Home and Zion Chapel have played and beaten Kinston this year. Pleasant Home won 20-14 and Zion Chapel won 7-0.
Kickoff between the Pleasant Home and Zion Chapel will be at 7 p.m.
