One of my favorite scripture passages is found in the Book of John, chapter 14.

Jesus promised in this passage that He would return someday and receive unto Himself those of us who had put our faith in Him.

He said in verse three of the 14th chapter of John that He was going to prepare a place for those of us who had put our faith in Him.

He promised that He would prepare a place for us and then return to get those of us who were prepared.

The word “prepared” is a word we use often without having a good definition for it.

It is a multifaceted word with many meanings—meaning that it can be applied to lots of situations.

One of the situations being that we have met the conditions and definitions that Jesus Himself set in place.

The definition that Jesus set up is that we must accept Him as the True Son of God; and, that He died for us; and since He is the True Son of God He is the only one who is acceptable to God the Father, The God of the Universe, The Creator.

John 3:16 says that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in the son will be saved.

Romans 6:23 says that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is Eternal life.

Romans 3:23 says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 3:10 says there is none righteous, no, not one.

Romans 4:7 says blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and whose Sins are covered.
