Brantley proves too much for PHS

The Pleasant Home Eagles got off to quick start, but Brantley’s passing attack was too much as the Bulldogs picked up a 57-6 region victory Friday night in Pleasant Home.
“For the first 16 minutes of the game, I was proud of them,” Pleasant Home head coach Chris Mason said. “We came firing out of the gate tonight after starting off really slow last week. That was positive, but now we have to put it together for four quarters.”
Pleasant Home jumped out front when Garrett Barton rushed in from 17 yards out on the opening drive of the game.
“We played them really hard for the first half game,” Mason said. “They started passing the ball all over the place and we couldn’t stop it, and after the first drive we really couldn’t do much with the ball.”
Nic Woods added two catches for 50 yards for the Eagles.
“We still have wins left on the schedule,” Mason said. “That’s one thing that’s exciting, and it’s something the kids should be excited about. We’ve got two of the bigger area games out the way, and now we have to focus on the rest of the season.”
Pleasant Home is back at home next Friday when they take on region-foe Houston County.
