A Florala man was arrested Tuesday for numerous drug charges.

DTF Agent Greg Jackson said that agents visited the home of Thomas Edward Stewart, which was located on Hwy. 54, east of Florala.

“They just went to the home in reference to reports of drug activity,” he said.

While at the residence, agents made contact with Stewart, also known as Tomcat.

Jackson said Tomcat was not a known drug offender who had been arrested by the task force before.

“A consent to search his residence revealed approximately 20 grams of ice methamphetamine and approximately a quarter pound of marijuana,” he said.

He was charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and possession of marijuana in the first degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was booked into the Covington County Jail and is being held on a $173,000 bond.
