The Covington County Worthless Check Unit will be in Florala today July 22, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on the 22nd of each month at those times at the Florala Municipal Court. If you have a worthless check to turn in or have questions about the process of turning in a worthless check, please come visit us on Friday.
Additionally, David Floyd will be visiting merchants in Florala as well to retrieve any outstanding worthless checks and discuss the process of turning in worthless checks. The District Attorney’s Office offers this service to the merchants and citizens of Florala as a convenience to the public. “We know Mom and Pop merchants can’t just pick up and leave and shut the store down and come to Andalusia. So, we come down here once a month to make it more convenient to take advantage of this free service,” explained District Attorney Walt Merrell.
