LBW Community College in Andalusia is offering a 15-week Aikido course on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:30 – 7:45 p.m., Aug. 22, 2016 – Dec. 14, 2016. Classes will be held in the Seth Hammett Gymnasium.

Learn a traditional martial art in a fun, supportive environment. Learn throws, safe falling technique, how to use an opponent’s energy against him, pin and immobilize an opponent, self-defense, and exercise. Aikido is a great martial art for men and women of all ages and body builds. No experience necessary. This class will be taught by Shihan Dr. Herb Riedel, fifth-degree black belt.

The cost of the course is $90 per participant.
