The observance of the National Day of Prayer will be held on Thurs., May 5, in Andalusia on the Court Square.  There will be three times concerned citizens can meet :  7 a.m.,12:15 p.m., and 5:45 p.m.

The Rev. Leroy Cole of the Andalusia Area Ministerial Association said this year’s theme is “Wake Up America.”

According to the movement’s website, this year’s theme emphasizes “the need for individuals, corporately and individually, to return to the God of our fathers in reverence for his holy name. “

This year’s scripture is Isaiah 58:1, “Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet.”
