Let the ‘Madness’ begin

Playoff time is always an exciting time in any sport, but there is really something special college basketball’s “March Madness.”
With the field of 68 finalized on Sunday, one of my favorite playoffs is set to begin today.
It’s exciting to me because any team in the tournament has a chance to win a national title. I know that the higher-seed big dogs usually prevail, but there is a chance for the underdog. Slim or not, there is a chance.
Another reason I’m excited, I love filling out brackets and studying the teams to see who I think will win and what will happen along the way.
Over the next few days, a lot of people like me will be glued to a TV or streaming the games on a tablet or phone to keep up with all of the action and hoping their brackets hold up.
My pick to win it all is the Kansas Jayhawks and my first round upset pick will be No. 14 seed Stephen F. Austin over No. 3 seed West Virginia. Another possible is No. 11 Gonzaga over No. 6 Seton Hall.
Let the “Madness” begin.
