The Andalusia Bulldogs’ soccer team fought hard, but fell to Providence Christian 4-2 Friday night at home.
Providence went up 1-0 early, but the Bulldogs rallied back to tie the game on a penalty kick from Kiki Wain.
Providence went up 4-1 in the second half and then Jaxon Rudolph picked up his first goal of the season to make it 4-2.
“We had a bit of a come to Jesus meeting last night in the locker room,” Andalusia head coach Tim Ramsden said. “I told them we would have full practice after the game we didn’t show up to play. The kids really stepped up and played physical with a very good team. Had that not gotten that fourth goal, I think we probably could have tied it up or maybe beaten them…I was really excited for Jaxon Rudolph getting his first goal.”
